Mere Crockett
Mere Crockett is a world photographer and professional surf judge. For her the business of photography started in 1997 when shooting images for Real Estate Catalogs. From there Mere’s love grew into landscapes, surfing and interesting details of our lives. Studied both photography & Surfing in California, Costa Rica and Virginia, North Carolina, she often can be found near the sea to enjoy some surf and the spectacular surroundings of coastal life.
On the surf side of my life, I’m a former amatuer and professional surf competitor. I have worked with the NSSA, ESA, WSL/formerly known also as ASP, and USA Surfing as well as the Virginia Beach Jaycees famous East Coast Surfing Championship. I’ve worked events all of the United States and Costa Rica. I went from being a young competitor to professional surf judge with a lot of hard work and dedication to help bring Women’s surfing to the best level it can be for our future generations. I continue to advocate for Women in surfing breaking thru the boundaries of a male dominated sport.
Both Surfing & Photography have fulfilled my life in so many wonderful ways, even on the most challenging days. My love for connecting with people thru imagery and sports has led me to where I am today. I hope I get the opportunity to share one or both of these amazing arts with you & your family.
Today, Mere Crockett is based out of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina- where it’s still small enough to call a town.
